Got Trouble?

Perfumed scents lift the heart, but trouble can tear the soul to pieces. Proverbs 27:9 adapted

Trouble comes and trouble goes. The trick is not letting trouble trip you up, or tear your life apart.MP900407536[1]

What do you do when the storms of life rain on your parade?

When David was in trouble, he fell on his knees and cried out to God. When Daniel was thrown into the lion’s den, he put his faith into action. When Jesus was confronted by his enemies, he gave them a sobering dose of truth.

The Bible’s great figures of faith did not let life’s trials and tribulations compromise their faith. Instead, they put their faith into action. In the end, God gave the guidance, power and sustenance they needed. With God’s help, and an active faith, they were able to flourish during those most difficult times!

MP900337409[1]Our faith can function like a sweet perfume. The scent it gives off can lift the spirit. It can open our eyes to hope. It can draw our minds closer to the truth. It can empower us with God’s Spirit.

I don’t want any trouble. But when trouble comes, this verse reminds me that no matter how bad things get, I can cover myself in a heart-lifting, mind-renewing, spirit-energizing faith!
